The Secret Interior (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains how we handle your personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information we collect
- Contact details — your name, email address and phone number.
- Booking details — the service, date, time and any notes you provide.
- Health information — the details you share on our intake form (health conditions, allergies, medications, injuries and treatment preferences). This is “special category” data and is treated with the highest level of care.
- Assessment responses — answers you give in our nervous-system assessment.
How we use your information
We use your information only to:
- Manage your bookings and process your deposit securely.
- Provide safe, appropriate treatment tailored to your health needs.
- Communicate with you about your appointment.
Our lawful bases are your consent, the performance of our service to you, and (for health information) the provision of health treatment. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Payments
Deposits are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details — these are handled directly and securely by Stripe.
How we protect your data
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
- Access to your records is strictly limited to your practitioner.
- We apply industry-standard security controls to our systems.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete your data.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
