The Secret Interior

My interest in naturopathy began with my mother, whose appreciation for holistic wellbeing influenced me from an early age. In 2001, I moved to India, a life-changing experience that deepened my understanding of natural healing and led me to train in Ayurvedic massage. The years I spent there shaped many of the values that continue to guide our practice today.
My older brother, known to everyone as SI, was another profound influence. He had an extraordinary mind and a deep fascination with herbs, natural remedies and the body's remarkable ability to heal itself. Many of the conversations we shared continue to inspire my work.
SI died prematurely at the age of 59. With the knowledge I now have about neurodivergence, chronic stress and their impact on health, I believe much of his struggle could have been recognised and supported much earlier. The Secret Interior is named in his memory — a tribute to the man who helped shape my thinking and my passion for naturopathy.
His passing also prompted me to take a closer look at my own wellbeing. A timely GP appointment revealed the same condition as my brother, caught just in time. I also addressed high blood pressure and made lifestyle changes that prevented the onset of type 2 diabetes.
These experiences reinforced a belief that sits at the heart of our practice: stress is one of the greatest challenges to our health and wellbeing. Managing it through approaches such as acupuncture, therapeutic massage, meaningful rest and connection with nature is not a luxury — it is an investment in long-term health.

She serves as a Global Advisory Aromatherapist to The Secret Interior, working remotely in support of the clinical team led by Owner, Kevin Boukhari. Her role focuses on advising the development of bespoke aromatherapy formulations and sensory wellbeing approaches designed to support neurodivergent individuals, with a particular emphasis on women's health and personalised care.
